An engineer is most commonly found using the term optimization. Computer Engineer thinks of how well can he 'optimize' the code so that memory and space complexity may be reduced. An Electrical engineer thinks in terms of minimizing the number of components on a PCB so that he can make an 'optimal' use of power. Mechanical Engineer thinks to 'optimally' use the resources or else he aims at designing the car model whose mileage is the best. :-) Chemical engineer focuses on using the optimum amount of chemical samples so that his task is accomplished.Likewise, everyone has the same perspective.
However, in general, human beings intention is to work so optimally that even while choosing the internet or mobile plans, they think on such lines. They drive by their cars with full optimal plans of the routes they have to go by.
If everyones focus is on optimally using the time, then do the human being actually spends the left out time for himself? Do he thinks of utilizing the natural resources optimally?
A very small example, while taking the xerox or print outs when you are given free of cost facilities, do we actually think of using such resources optimally? Staying at hostels, when you are provided with over flowing luxuries, you just simply sleep after putting your clothes in washing machines and leave the rooms with lights and fans switched on. Where lies the optimal principle at this time? In total, in my opinion, man is so selfish that his focus is simply to earn fame and money.
If he would optimize the code and achieve the best complexity or else, if he designs the best mileage car with minimum cost, he would become the renowned personality. His perception is that ones persona is attributed with such superficial things.
If he thinks of optimally using paper, water and electricity, he won't be given any credits. So, he simply ignores. And, last but not the least, after saving lot of time by doing his daily activities optimally, his day ends... He simply cannot give time to himslf. Then, whats the meaning of OPTIMIZATION in human being life?
